My Interview on The Crowned Podcast + My Mini-Announcement
Good Day, Beauties!
Yesterday, I had the pleasure to speak with a fellow blogger and entrepreneur, Terrace Sherman from The Royal Queendom. In this podcast, Terrace and I share our journeys thus far on starting where you are when you relocate. I am not going to lie; I was ecstatic about this interview because I am soon to tap into the podcast phenomenon. I was also nervous about how the podcast was going to turn out because I am self-conscious about my voice. On an early Saturday morning, I met up with Terrace to do her makeup for an upcoming photoshoot then to record our interview afterward.
After listening to the final edit, it turned out fantastic, and all of my fears went out of the window. I prayed to God about this journey, and He is showing me that His promises for my destiny are going to work out just fine. I am blessed and excited for my next endeavor for 2018 - my very own podcast! Stay tuned for further details about the name of my podcast and launch date.

Be great and be amazing!
Summer 2018 is just around the corner, and of course, we are ready, or not. When the sun is out, we are out, and we cannot afford to have our makeup looking like you came through drippin, literally. One thing I hate to see is a queen out and about with her makeup running down her face.
It's been a while since I've done any Get Jay's Look posts and it feels good to bring them back. Kicking off my 2018 makeup looks, it was only right to recreate Beyonce's makeup from her performance at Coachella.
I have always been a fan of Drake's music, especially when he released More Life last year. To this day I still play that album from start to finish. Earlier this year, he released God's Plan, and it caught my attention, at least I thought it did until he dropped, Nice for What this past Friday night. Let me tell you, the MOMENT I HEARD THIS SONG, I instantly fell in love.
Hey loves! Happy first day of March! Spring is upon us, and after a ROUGH month of February, I would like to begin the month with a blog post feature. For this post, I want to feature a fellow blogger, named T Mac and her review of an event she attended in Baltimore, Maryland called Wine & Pasta: Fade II Black sponsored by Wine & Pasta Events, LLC. As much as she anticipated attending the event and supported a black-owned business, unfortunately, T Mac's experience was not a great one.
Last weekend, I attended a thrift tour, hosted by Meyhgin from Meeting With Megs. When I saw that she was hosting a thrift tour, I instantly knew that I was going to be in attendance. Why? Because she is super sweet, freaking amazing and her style is bomb.com! I knew with her guidance; I was going to execute my first thrift store shopping experience.
I want to give you my "grand rounds" of creating content for your blog, brand, website, social media, etc. One thing I can attest to is that when I began my journey of blogging, all I had was my MacBook and my iPhone.
As the 2017 holiday season comes to a close and the new year is approaching, I want to take a moment to thank every one of you for supporting my brand and me. Becoming a blogger has always been a dream of mine, and before the launch of I am SohoGlam, I was afraid to open up and share my vision with the world.
Hey loves! So... (pops mouth, lol) I want to share with you a few of my favorite makeup things. Since Christmas is my favorite time of the year as well as a time for giving, I want to give one lucky winner an opportunity to experience my favorite makeup things. Are you ready?
Good day, my beauties! For this post, I want to feature another blog post I read a few weeks back on how to deal with copycats. As a creative, we all have our own identity and originality. However, there are times where we have people in our lives who "swagger jacks" us.
Happy Thanksgiving my beauties! I wanted to write a quick post to wish you all a great Thanksgiving and to let you know what I am thankful for. Of course, the main thing I look forward to is spending time with my family and eating great food. However, I am grateful for my ability to share a piece of my life with you on my blog.
